Irene Comes A Callin’

Irene left her calling card as she pounded us unmercifully last night at Peaceful Acres.

We’re a good 200-300 miles from the Atlantic Coast where Irene was felt with great furry yesterday, but when the tail end of her swung around us after mid-night we got the backside of that gal! And she was broad and wide!!! Let me tell ya’!

She was bitter loud and packed a good punch.

All the critters were in safety as we rode it out till morning. We’re all grateful that we didn’t lose power here and the only thing….I say ONLY….as The Hired Hand is out working on this tree….but it was the only thing we had down.

400+ miles + mountains=no Irene!

We wanted rain but got only winds; no damage from either earthquake or hurricane, thank God. We’re 400+ miles from the coast and could have used the rain -smile-.

Good news overall! Glad you are safe and sound along with all your critters.
