Dad was a REAL Patriot! He taught me to have a love for God, Country and Family. He died a patriot….not on the battle field of war, but the battle field of life. I wish I had his flag to fly this weekend, that he was honored with upon his death as a Veteran of the Korean War. Memorial day is a way to honor those who have lived and died defending this country. It was also his Mama’s birthday and as an immigrant of Eastern Europe she was proud to be an American; the land of the free and the home of the brave. So fly your flags this weekend to give honor to those who have lived and died on the battle fields of war.
And a solute to The Hired Hands Dad who served in France just after D-Day. He’s one of the few remaining Great American Hero’s of his time.
