We decided that we needed a gas-less mower this year!!! I mean with the price of gas rising and my time being taken up by work for the England Acres Farm Market…………
we opened the South Pasture! I put up the electric netting goat fence over the septic field and let them loose!
Buddy & Joy kicked up their heels and were rambunctious as rodeo bulls!!! Joy was also in heat, so she stood closer to the road calling for Mr Bull. Mr Bull only lives 1/2 mile down at the end of our street and I wasn’t sure if he might come a runnin!
He didn’t. At least not today! (Isn’t Buddy a darling!? Can you say VEAL! Milk fed VEAL! Tender VEAL! We look at him and just say YUM! He’s nearly as tall as Joy. Mr Burger has really learned the ropes around here and spent his first night out of the barn with his Mum the other night. Once the goaty girls get closer to kidding, Joy & Buddy will be free ranging it all night long. No more comfy quarters for them.)
The goats were pretty happy too, although they never show their emotions like a cow! Never! I still knew they were happy, grazing and laying in the sunshine.
These mowers will provide automatic organic fertilizer, no noise, no pollution….except maybe methane gas!….cow f…I mean, gas… is not funny! But with a low grain diet….well, my cows don’t pass gas! They only save me gas!!!
The best part is it cut 1/2 hr off my time with John…..John Deere that is!

Aren’t those natural mowers wonderful! Never have to worry about them not starting or being out of gas.
Yep…I love the “natural” mowers! I think I will let my girls out in the front to help out with the lawn!
