Pesto Pizza

It’s sorta ironical….since The Farmer’s Daughter has been pulling the farming load and I’ve been standing behind the glass door gazing out….she’s gotten very hungry.

Now, just so you can picture her….she won’t allow me to take a picture…but use your imagination….she’s 5’1″ and maybe 100lb soaking wet! She wears a 0. Sometimes a 00. She’s always been a petite peanut. Always! (I know….only in your dreams!!!!):)

So, now she’s hauling water, grain and manure and boy does this girl have an appetite! We joke that she has a hollow leg that she carries around to put food in. Because she can pack it away!

While she was out wrangling up Buddy Burger last evening, I hollered….”great rodeo show!” And she Yelled, “woman….there better be some good grubs for me when I get in there! I’m hungry!!!”

I hollered back….”I’m not cookin tonight!”

She hollered, “Well, you better get busy!”

So, I did just that.

I pulled out a Trader Joe’s Pizza Dough all ready made that cost 99 cents. There was some Pesto that was made last summer, thawing on the counter. So, I threw together a Pesto Pizza that was nearly out of the oven by the time The Farmer’s Daughter was changed and ready to eat. I was figuring that it might of cost $3 if that.

Oh “YUM” was all I heard. Since I’m allergic to dairy…well, pizza is now a thing of my past!!! Drats! Boy did it smell lovely with the basil and onion! Oh YUM!

The funny thing is….when I was doing all that work…..how come no one ever had dinner waiting for me!

I’m just sayin!

Diane, your interactions with your daughter are hysterical! I have the same relationship with mine however she thinks I’m a nut-case most days -and sometimes I actually believe her!
PS, I did email you back some lavender recipes!

Thanks for thinking of me, Diane. Next surgery #3 is scheduled for the 28th. I’m praying so hard that this surgery will be a COMPLETE success and that it’ll be my last. They’re taking bone from my hip this time to give it every opportunity to fuse. Oh, and I LOVE your new banner!

Hey Diane, if ever you glance at your Feedjit traffic and see Eveleth, Minnesota…that’s my sister. She’s become a regular reader of your blog.
Ya’ sure whipped up one great looking and I might say I could almost smell it pizza there.
Yup, in your dreams on these petite gals. My Filipino daughter is tiny, under 5 ft and under 100 lbs.. Oy to be back to pre baby weight….now that is something to dream about.

No cheese right now, so that means no pizza of any kind! I’m glad to see you here today Melissa…you were on my heart this morning! I need to email you with some interesting info. Take care.

Oh, Diane… no pizza? I use Chebe bread mix to make my pizza (it’s gluten, casein, and lactose free). It’s wonderful for an occasional treat.

Now, I’m not so sure about those cheese substitutes, but that pizza looked like it would have been pretty good with just the pesto and veggies. : )
