ICE CREAM!!!
I’ve been making this recipe for a couple years, but for some reason, this time it turned out….BAM!
It’s creamy and smooth and oh so good and really good for you!![]()
Diane’s Ice Cream
1 Qt Raw Cream
1 Qt Raw Milk
2 Fresh Egg Yolks
1 tsp Vanilla (I make mine with vanilla beans and Vodka) Sometimes I scrape the beans.
1 C + a little more Honey
Mix half the Cream & Milk with the other ingredients and whisk together. Pop in the freezer for 1/2 hr. Remove from freezer and whisk in the remaining Milk & Cream.
I mix it in the freezer bucket. Then put it in the ice cream maker thing and it usually only takes 30-40 min’s until it’s ready. I scoop it into smaller containers and freeze. It usually makes 3/4-1 gallon of ice cream. Of course you can add chocolate chips or fruit or any other flavoring, but we usually just like it vanilla!
Since I forfeited pie this Thanksgiving, I made a batch of Pamela’s Brownies and they are so rich and good with this ice cream.

I used the light cream Deb. It’s just so supper easy!
Hi Diane. Did you use the heavy or lite cream? I really want to try this ice cream.
One of our projects is to make icecream with the grandson one of these days. I like your recipe and the fact that you are using honey as a sweetener.
This would have gone gang busters with my chocolate pecan chess pie or my toasted coconut chess pie. Good thing we don’t live close to each other; we’d be three axe handles broad!
