When I purchased my heirloom tomato seeds this winter, I wanted to have a variety of color.
My yellow are Dr Wyche’s and they are delicious! Full of flavor and holding up well.
(I don’t remember where I ordered it…but look I found it at Diane’s Seeds!)

Seed Savers says this about Dr Wyche: Given to SSE by the late Dr. John Wyche, one of SSE’s earliest members. Dr. Wyche used to own Cole Brothers Circus which overwintered in Hugo, Oklahoma. He fertilized his terraced mountain-top gardens with elephant manure and scattered lion and tiger waste to keep out deer and rabbits. Heavy yields of one pound tomatoes. Meaty and rich tasting for a yellow-orange tomato. Indeterminate, 75-85 days from transplant.
I am wondering if some of that tiger poop would keep Templeton from messy around in my garden. Rascal.
I sliced it…my tomato…not Templeton! and cooked it in a beef & cheese casadia with homemade salsa. Mmmm good food is fresh food.
